Business
We offer general corporate counsel, and prepare agreements among shareholders, employment agreements and other corporate contracts. The firm represents clients in corporate acquisitions, mergers and leveraged buyouts. We participate in the review and negotiation of bank loans and other financing arrangements. Our services, of course, extend to general or limited partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures and proprietorships.
Labor & Employment
Our labor lawyers provide management strategy and documentation services during union organizational drives and elections. We represent our clients in labor negotiations, arbitration and mediation, and appear before the National Labor Relations Board as well as other state and federal agencies. We also handle employment discrimination issues with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights and other federal and state agencies.
Real Estate
Our real estate department advises our clients in all forms of real estate transactions, including developments, purchases, sales, exchanges, leases, commercial or otherwise.
Banking
Our banking clients benefit from our expertise in regulatory and transactional work. We handle document preparation and negotiation for all forms of financing, and assist our clients in the formulation and documentation of loan programs such as home equity loans. We also provide legal support for compliance with fair lending requirements and other regulatory matters.
Estate Planning & Probate
We have a full range of probate and estate planning services for the personal needs of our clients and their families, including tax planning and the structuring and preparation of wills and trusts. Our firm also offers estate and trust administration services, as well as preparation and filing of all relevant state and federal tax returns.
Construction
BN&F provides to its construction industry clients advice and services for every aspect and step of the commercial and public construction process. Our services include the drafting and negotiation of contract and subcontract agreements as well as the evaluation and resolution of performance, design, cost, contract modification, change order, insurance, indemnity, payment, lien, surety bond issues and claims.

Litigation
Our litigation practice includes trial and appellate work at all levels of the federal and state judicial systems. Our expertise includes specialized areas of law such as prosecution and defense of commercial, transactional, financial and employment disputes, mechanics or other lien claims and various matters involving construction litigation.
Tax
Our tax department handles federal and state tax matters for our clients. We prepare corporate, partnership and fiduciary returns, and appear before the Internal Revenue Service, Illinois Department of Revenue, and all other taxing agencies and tribunals.
