Tom grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the University of Dayton where he double majored in Political Science and Criminal Justice. In 2017, Tom was awarded his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law where he served as the Legislative Updates Editor for the Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law, a member of the Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology and earned a certificate in Business Law. Tom was published in DePaul University’s Spring, 2016 issue of the Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law for his analysis of the Second Circuit United States Court of Appeal’s decision in Baldwin v. EMI Feist Catalog, Inc. regarding terminable interests in copyrights and future bargaining considerations.
Tom became an associate attorney at Berger, Newmark & Fenchel, P.C. in March, 2018. He currently works in the real estate and corporate law groups.
