Avrum Dannen

Avrum H. Dannen is of counsel with the law firm of Berger, Newmark, & Fenchel P.C. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University.

He has practiced in the fields of insolvency and commercial litigation for the past forty (40) years. He has authored several articles for and on behalf of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He also served as a faculty member of the Bankruptcy Skills Course for that Institute and has previously served as both lecturer and instructor for continuing legal education programs on behalf of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, North Suburban Bar Association and other professional organizations.

Avrum has served as Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association’s Committee on Bankruptcy and Reorganizations and is a past Chairman of the Asset Protection Committee of that Association. He is past Chairman of both the Commercial Banking and Bankruptcy Law Section Council and the Business Advice and Financial Planning Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
